The design
By allowing a small amount of water to flow back to the start of the nozzle via the side channels, the main jet is permanently redirected. In this way, the entire spray angle is utilized with less water, even in the low-pressure range, without the need for a wear-prone, moving mechanism

The outlet
The outlet shape and outlet cross-section of both nozzle types also differ greatly. For example, the Caramba X-Jet nozzle has a larger opening for the same size, which not only reduces the risk of clogging but also ensures larger droplets. At the same time, thanks to the constantly moving jet, unlike flat jet nozzles, there is no need for a sharp edge that is prone to wear and damage
The spraying result
In a direct comparison, the advantage of the innovative design and the larger outlet opening can be seen in three ways:
1. While the spraying angle of the flat spray nozzles depends heavily on the water pressure and therefore rarely corresponds to the defined spraying angle, the Caramba X-Jet nozzles work much more consistently
- The X-Jet nozzles generate an oscillating water jet. This means that the jet moves dynamically and consists of rotating droplets with a more stable trajectory, which provide additional shear forces on the surface and thus advantages during cleaning.
- As the drops hit the surface individually and distributed, there is also the so-called pressure impulse effect: A higher, more powerful impulse is transferred to the surface due to a temporally and spatially separated drop sequence
